We went for the ultrasound yesterday and are excited to say we are indeed expecting a little girl. My scanner is not working so I can't scan the photos in right now. We are headed for Colorado tonight so will not be around for the next week.

A TV Center Makeover
Remember this entertainment center that I posted about a long time ago? It is another one of my craigslist finds but I didn't like the color of it. So I finally got around to redoing it yesterday and today. So here is it's long over due makeover! Seriously all I used was that 2.00 bottle of craft paint from Walmart to paint it. I then lightly sanded it down and wiped Ebony stain over the entire thing I then went back and wiped off the stain so that it didn't sit for very long. Super easy and it didn't take that long.I have started decorating for fall and this is what I have placed up on the top. I am linking this up for DIY day over A Soft Place To Land.
Just Like Momma
Naomi reminds me so much of myself at times especially when it comes to reading. My mother has told me over and over how I use to beg her to read to me when I was really small. I have always enjoyed a good book and I am so glad to see Naomi doing the same. She started reading before she went to Kindergarten and has always seemed to be a top reader. During the summer while there was no school we allowed her to stay up reading as long as she stayed in bed. There were nights I would walk by her room at midnight and there she would be laying in bed reading by the light of her lamp. The weather is cooler now and the other day I caught her outside in one of the chairs reading.
Ignore the dirty feet. She's just a little country girl who hates shoes!

Ready For Fall
Fall is by far my favorite time of the year! I have started getting mums in my planters and these are on the stairs as you come up to the front door. Are you ready for fall?

Craigslist Buffet
For awhile now I have been looking for a china cabinet or hutch or something to use in my kitchen for extra storage. I was scouring craigslist and came upon this solid wood piece with lots of space for extra things and it was only $50.00! How could I pass that up? It's needs a paint job and then it will probably get relisted on craigslist so that I can make a little money off of it and get the china hutch that I really want! I am just not sure what color it will end up being...any ideas?
